Micro Video Podcasts

Short form video content is easy to create and to share – and the benefits compound over time.

Micro-Podcasts = Short Form Podcasting

Short-form video is one of the most popular and effective ways for expert business owners to build trust, visibility, and demand… when it’s done intentionally and strategically.

The problem is that most short-form content isn’t.

Clipping long podcast episodes has the benefit of fitting elegantly into a workflow, but the lack of context in those clips means they often fall flat and don’t produce the results we hope they will.

The solution is purposfully recording short form video content, but between planning, recording, editing and scheduling, that can be a huge addition to your workload.

A Micro-Podcast is a producer-guided, batch-recorded answer to that problem.

Instead of searching for highlights from long conversations, or hoping that an AI video service pulls out something you can use, you record weeks worth of short, focused Q&A or commentary-style episodes that answer real questions and position you as the expert you are.

And it takes less time to record than a single traditional interview episode.

Here’s How it Works

Step 1

Choose Frequency

You can release 1, 2 or 3 times a week, depending on how quickly you’d like to build traction and what works best for your other marketing projects.

Step 2

Choose Distribution

Depending on your needs, we can ugrade your micropodcast with enhanced SEO, done-for-you scheduling and integration with your existing content.

Step 3

Batch Record

You’ll join a producer once every 4 weeks to record content for the next cycle. Then we create all of the assets, and do as much distribution as you selected.

Each recording session is guided, edited, and delivered as polished, ready-to-use video with transcripts suitable for your website and all of your social channels.

Step 1: Select Frequency

Every Micropodcast comes with what you need to start your content engine:

  • Producer-assisted batch recording – 4 weeks of content at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I need to script out my episodes?

You can if you find it helpful, but we generally recommend that you just decide on the titles (or the questions you are going to answer) and just jot down any points you want to make sure to include. It’s important to avoid sounding like you are reading, and you’ll be working with a producer who can help you if you need it.

What kind of content should I record?

The best types of content for Micro-Podcasts are Q and A, short tips, and quick commentary on issues. It should also be content you know backwards and forwards. Consider what you find yourself saying to clients all the time, or what they ask about regularly. We’re also happy to help you map out content ideas!

Does each episode need to stand alone?

Yes – this is exactly what makes the format so powerful. Once they are out in the wild, episodes are going to surface for people according to each individual viewers algorithm rather than in an order you select, so each one should be complete in and of itself. This is why tips and Q and A are so popular.

How do Micro-Podcasts help with SEO/AEO/GEO

In a few ways! YouTube Shorts now surface in Google Search Results, so your video content becomes findable beyond the platform itself. Each episode can also live as a blog post on your website, which can be indexed. If you add structured schema markup like VideoObject, FAQPage and PodcastEpisode, you become eligible for rich text results in search. The batch content format means you are able to build a lot of topical authority very quickly.

What equipment do I need to get started?

In a perfect world you’ll have a good quality webcam and a decent standing mic. This will result in the highest quality video content – but short form video can be a little more forgiving than traditional podcasting, so if you want to get started with exactly what you have now before upgrading any equipment, that is fine.

– Tox Fox, The Compliance Podcast Network

I’ll be honest. I started the Spin Sucks podcast with some trepidation. We talked about it for years, but I couldn’t just seem to get my butt in gear to get it done. I kept hearing things such as less than one percent of podcasts are hosted by women (according to Libsyn) and also watched the trajectory of podcasting and yet…

But then the amazingly brilliant and easy-to-work with women from One Stone Creative told me there is more than enough content on the blog to create a podcast. They said, in fact, I wouldn’t have to do any work, other than record something weekly. They made it so easy, it was impossible to say no. Thanks to them, we’re here 5 years later.
